Maine becomes the 9th state where groups have adopted the Democratic Creed: Florida, Georgia, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas and Washington.

More news: Rabun County Dems in Georgia has also adopted the Democratic Creed. They become the 50th group to do so.

Welcome and congratulations!

A big hello!

I want to welcome all of you back personally, and to let you know our silence for the past month has been due to one thing: an absolutely overwhelming amount of developments. As you can see above and below, our grassroots movement .. and ours means yours .. has been spreading, and faster than we can properly keep up with. We’ve just had our 50st organization adopt the Creed, our 9th state, and .. as I write .. more adoptions are coming in.

This demand for the core values in the Democratic Creed, this hunger for the vision of a just society .. as long as it takes .. is real. It’s widespread. And it’s exciting to be part of. Stay tuned for a Special Edition in the coming days, and some major announcements in the coming weeks. Most of all, know that everything that is happening .. all the enthusiasm and the expressions of support for values .. is due to you, to each and every one of you at the local level who are taking a stand and saying enough! From all of us at Dems 101, a sincere and hearty thank you.

We’re back, and we’re pumped!

Jim

Events

Ohio: Four Corners Event

Dems 101 was proud to participate in the latest Four Corners event in Ohio, a gathering of regional rural county leadership in each of Ohio’s four corners organized by the Ohio Rural Caucus. State Rep Joe Miller and South Dayton Democratic Club’s Tim Benford held workshops on the role for core values and vision in the current campaign, emphasizing the Democratic Creed as our universal rallying point.

The entire June 1st event was kicked off by Scioto County’s Collin Doctorman reading the Democratic Creed to the assembled leadership. See a clip of his address below. It’s short, and the response at the end is exciting. More Four corners events to come. Stay tuned.

Georgia: the Blue Barbecue in Rabun County

On June 15th, Jim will be the keynote speaker at the annual Blue Barbecue in Rabun County, Georgia. He will join Democrats from across the state to celebrate our Democratic community, and to highlight the role of values and vision in changing the political dynamic throughout Georgia, and across the nation. It’s a summer afternoon of music, food, and inspiration .. an event to remember. For those of you in Georgia (or North Carolina!), some tickets are still available. Come and join Jim and Democrats from across the state for an afternoon of good food, community, and a renewal of energy and purpose. This election is about so much more than an election. Come join us.

Tickets and info available here.
